Subject of the conference

The study of mean field models for spin glasses (by non-rigorous methods) generated great excitement in physics during the seventies. There has recently been definite progress on the understanding of these rather canonical mathematical objects. yet some very exciting problems remain.

Mini courses by G. Ben Arous, A. Bovier and F. Guerra will provide a general introduction to the area, while more specialized conferences will explain some of the main problems or present recent developments.
